Milgard Essence French Style Sliding Glass Doors Recently Installed in Seattle
(Update: Milgard has discontinued the Essence product line)
Recently, our installation crew installed a new Milgard Essence french style sliding patio door to replace a window in this Seattle, WA home. See the photos below. The project involved enlarging the opening in the existing wall, removing the existing window and adding a new 4 x 8 header. The exterior was wrapped on the exterior with 5/4 x 4 cedar and the interior was trimmed with new 9/16″ x 2 1/2″ chair rail.
The new patio door is from Milgard’s Essence Series and features a VG fir interior and white “Frost” fiberglass exterior. The hardware is a brushed chrome finish.
