Simpson Doors Featured on National Television

Simpson’s award-winning Nantucket Collection is designed and constructed to provide beautiful, long-lasting exterior wood doors for any climate. That being the case, when Dean Johnson, host of the popular PBS TV show HOMETIME, needed exterior doors for a model home in Minnesota, he naturally chose a Nantucket door given the region’s tough weather.
To find the best exterior and interior doors for their “Creekside” home project, Dean and his co-host Miriam used Simpson’s DOORmagination tools. They first checked out various door styles using the “Test Drive A Door,” then found their ideal wood with the wood species selector and preferred glass with our “Glass Taste Test.”
Guests who walk through the front entry of the Creekside custom home, as well as all of us viewing from home, can see the Nantucket Collection #77860 FP door in sapele mahogany. Inside the home are multiple #162 panel doors (8-ft tall) and #1534 French doors, all in sapele mahogany to match the Nantucket entry door.
